So This Is Christmas

Well it has been some time since I posted. I have been working a lot for the last couple months. I still hate my job, but it isn't the worst thing in the world. I think what I dislike about it the most is that I do all this work and don't make very much money. While at the same time the people who do almost nothing make a bunch of money. Oh well. I get to spend the next day or so with my family which is pretty awesome. I live no more then 40 miles from most of my siblings and extended family yet I get to see them probably 3 or 4 times a year. I do wish that I could see them more often. I didn't spend any money on people this for this holiday. I am going to wrap a bunch of my prints that I have framed and give them to people. I did get to hang out with my sister-in-law and brother this week and make tamales, that was pretty cool. Anyway I think that now that I have posted again instead of trying to post every day I am going to post every week. I started off strong but realized that I was talking about inane stuff. So from now on I am going to attempt to write about something meaningful that happens to me.

Almost Missed Another Day

I don't really have much to say again today. I was really annoyed by this stupid man today. I was wearing my USC hat and had to be on the check stand for a minute. Well he and his wife came through my line and he decided that without my asking anything about the game to voluntarily tell me that my team lost. I hate people like that. He could have at least asked me if I wanted to know the outcome. Anyhow I did talk to Reagan for a while this evening which was nice. She is turning into a passionate fan of USC. I have to go now.

26.10.07

The River Styx

At work today I got to paint some pumpkins and will do so again tomorrow. I still have my job to do, but at least I got paid to paint. Oh and I get a set of paints when I am done. Well I get to keep what is left after I paint about 20 pumkins. The only problem with this whole thing is that I know they aren't going to turn out PERFECT. And even though I am not the best painter in the world I strive for perfection everytime. Anyhow I had a terrible migraine last night and so I didn't prepare anything to post yesterday or for today. Oh and I saw an aspiring photographer/writer that I used to work with today. I gave her my card and do kinda hope that she calls or emails me. I would really like to help her along if I can.

I Like Phones

I am not really sure what motivated me to take this image. I was riding the bus past this phonebooth and I just shot it. Anyhow Justin, 'Tis', and Big K came over this evening. We made some brats and burgers and hung out for a while. I do like those guys. Justin said he should be getting a promotion soon and I was telling him that I might be doing a couple of different things. I still wish that it was easy to make difficult decisions. But then if it were easy they wouldn't be difficult. I figure that I am gonna keep on keepin' on for the time being. Anyhow I have some things I need to do before I get some sleep so I will see you soon.

23.10.07

Nothing To See Here

I was walking past or rather through a parking garage one day and I happened to look down and see this. I laughed rather boisterously at the time. I still get a kick out of it now. For as you may or may not realize "Nothing is impossible". Quite literally nothing is an impossibility. Oh well, on that note nothing of note happened today and so I bid you a fine evening.

22.10.07

The Head Of Dilbert

You never know what you are going to see when you leave the house. I was on my way to work one morning and I looked over and saw this. I am not sure what it was made of, who made it, or why they made it. All I know is that I saw it. When I did see it I thought this is pretty darn cool and so I took a picture. Anyway I don't have anything else to say right now, I might later.

21.10.07

I Really Want To See Some Snow

One of these days I will be able to really do all that I want to do. Although I might not be as happy as I wish I were, I kinda know where I am going and how I am getting there. I was talking to a good friend of mine the other day and they are considering graduate school in Denver. I could really get behind the idea which I offered to her of being her roommate there. I just need to go day by day and eventually I will look up and realize that I am on top of the mountian I have been wanting to climb my whole life. I might hate my job at the moment but eventually I will either not have to have a job or I will love going to it. I just have to keep on keeping on.

20.10.07

Wishing I Could See The Stars

Another of my phone images. I actually took this picture of a phone with my phone. So I meant to get on and post yesterday but I didn't. Oh Well. I guess that there is supposed to be some meteor shower going on ths weekend. But since I live in the city I am not going to see but a tiny sliver of the show. I might get to see some however I am kinda pessimistic on that because I can count on one hand the stars I see right now. I am sort of watch HGTV right now and they are breaking dishes. I find that sound, the sound of breaking glass, to be very theraputic. Anyway I am going to get going.

18.10.07

Here's A Quarter

This is something I took way long time ago while I was living in Seattle. As much as I love that city and want to live there again, I am not sure that is going to happen this year like I had intended it to. I think I know what I am going to do, well not do but make happen. Anyhow this phonebooth theme is one that I am going to post more of in the future. You see the more prevalant cell phone usage is, the less you will see phone booths. I remember not to long ago a whole lot more pay phones then I see now a days. Well I don't have much else to say so I am going to exit for now.

17.10.07

Concrete Tubing

If I remember correctly I took this a couple of years ago on Thanksgiving. I was wandering my way over to my Mom's house for dinner and went past this yard where they make concrete tubing. I found a way inside the yard and since it was empty started shooting. This print didn't scan very well because I sepia toned ti and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to look any less green. However during the toning process I did some selecting of areas to remain B&W. I was really just playing around when I did this. Since I don't have any thing else that is ready to post I figured that I would go ahead and put this up. I have missed a couple of days posting because I have been extremely busy doing stuff around the house and whatnot. Since I am out of things edited I am going to do some editing tonight. Unless Justin decides to come over for dinner I should get quite a few done.

13.10.07

I Love Halloween

So last year on Halloween I was spending the evening at somebodies house and on the bus headed home I looked up and saw this. What is this? Why it is a SUV on fire. I think it was a Chevy Suburban. As we rolled past it I was able to get my phone open in time to snap this. I was pretty proud of myself. Anyway I thought this would be a good thing to put up because I haven't had any time to do any real editing of my images recently. So I thought tis the season and I had this posted at photobucket. I actually meant to post last night but instead I crashed out on the couch in a matter of minutes. I got Davin to lay down and I was right behind him falling asleep. I got a lead on a job today that I am going to follow up on in the morning. Fingers crossed, because if I can talk my way into it there would be almost half again wage increase. I know the person doing the hiring and she is pretty cool with me. Wish me luck. Wait a minute I don't need luck. All I need to do is take a step off the ledge and the job will be mine.

Something By Vincent

I don't have a whole lot to say today. I have a bunch of things happening and yet nothing going on. I need to remember to be patient. The things that I want to work out will do so according to the way they need to be. I just gotta keep getting up and going to work everyday and before I know it then I will be where I want and doing what I want.
I met this girl today named Portland (I actually didn't ask her what her name is) and she and I chatted for a while via texting. I thought "nothing ventured nothing gained" and so I gave her my number. Well she thought it was cute and I will try to talk to her agian soon. I don't really care if anything comes of it between her and I. I am just feeling pretty good about the fact that I had the balls to do it and it seemed like it worked out.
My dad said something to me today that I really like. He told me that I was sensitive. He meant it in such a way that I am sensitive to what others are feeling and how to treat them. Also that I can take stock of the overall mood of a group of people and be able to do or say the best thing at the time. Well that is why I think Portland liked how I introduced myself.
This image by the way is from a file I found somewhere. I think it is a drawing done in charcoal. It was done by Vincent van Gogh, probably while he was in his preacher phase.

Happy Birthday Grandma Ruth

Today is the day you turn Ninety years old. Sadly you are no longer around from me to call you and tell you "I Love You". I haven't even been to see your grave. Because Grandma I haven't been back to my hometown for far to long. I know that you are no longer worrying about the day to day stuff we mortals do, but I wonder if you ever look down on us to see if we learned what you taught us. You were so small in stature and so great in spirit and I can't say that I have met a person who is stronger than you. When I was a kid I really didn't like going to do yardwork at your house, now looking back 15 years later I sure do appreciate those afternoons spent in your backyard. I do wish I knew you better, now that I am older, because I really have very few memories of you. I remember on some days after school you giving me toast and milk and that I ate it appreciatively but honestly that was an awful combination. I remember that you drove a land-yacht around town even when you had to see what was in front of you by looking through the steering wheel. Grandma Ruth I Love You, Happy Birthday.

No Image Today

I am not at all in the mood today to edit and post an image. So I am not going to. I wish I knew what to do, wait I do know what to do. I just wish it were easier to do what I want to do. I feel strongly about where I want to be and although I was a little fickle for a minute I believe that I have it down now. I am going to put pen to paper tonight and woprk it out a little more, but I am sure about what needs to happen for me. You see I am far from happy at the moment and I think I know how to get myself to a happy place in my life.

Should I Stay or Should I Go?

This is another image I took in Seattle. It is over a door that I used to walk past at least a half dozen times a week. So this week I am supposed to reach out to a guy that I used to work for at a ski resort near Seattle. I am kinda torn, I want to go and live there really bad but I feel like I should remain here in Phoenix. I know what my dad would tell me, that I should pray about it. And I believe that doing so actually means to search my heart to find the answer. I wish that it was an easy thing to do, you know just decide and do it. However I just don't know. The problem with that is that by not choosing you let the choice decide for you. I suppose that I am going to send the email and go from there. Oh and I meant to get on and post yesterday but got a little tied up with taking care of the demonboy. I sure do love that kid but he is quite the handful.

7.10.07

The Walking Dead

I am so exhausted and just like my girl Alice I feel like the walking dead. I feel like I am following footsteps of someone or something which I can't see. I work a whole lot doing sometimes useless pointless stuff. What's more I really hate people. The ironic thing about that is that I work in customer service and have to help these freaking imbeciles all day long. So once again I am going to cut this a bit short and lay my head on my pillow until I fall asleep.

6.10.07

A Long Tiring Day

So far all of the images I have posted have been mine. This one is not one I made, this was done by a great photographer named Josef Sudek. This image is just one of the many he took that I really identify with. Sudek was known as the Poet of Prague while he was alive. I would go into a whole biography of him, but I am just not in the mood to do so. I guess I am just being lazy today. I estimate that during my day at work today I moved probably 8,000 lbs. of produce. Most of that was pumpkins. Anyhow I am exhausted and believe that I am going to get a load of laundry done and hit the sack. The next time you go to a bookstore or library you should look for a collection of his images, they are truly stunning.

5.10.07

Another Day I Wish I Could Scream

So you know what I do all day? I try to remember that I work for a piece of paper and not the people I see. I try to remember what it feels like to be able to pay my bills and have more then $5 a day to live on. I try not to hear the commercial, that plays at least 10-15 times during my shift, that talks about how this company encourages family and the ties that bind them. Because that same peppy voice talking about those family values represents to me the piece of paper that I am employed by. And from my perspective all that piece of paper cares about is having black numbers and lots of them, it has no concern for families. For you see that damn piece of paper doesn't pay me anywhere near what I am worth and certainly nothing like what I have made in the past. Not to mention that the money I get paid is in no way shape or form near enough to have a family on. At the same time it wants me to do about nineteen different tasks during my day, when in reality I have time to complete roughly eight or ten. I sometimes try not remember that the money I get for working six days a week is about a third or less than I used to make for working four days a week. Oh well. I hate my job and today I was so annoyed that I felt like quitting. I look forward to next week when I should hear about a job which I applied for and have a good chance at landing.

4.10.07

Off Kilter Vision

Sometimes I feel like the whole world has gone crazy and I am the only normal one in it. Other times I feel like I am the weird one and everyone else is normal. On those days this is what it looks like sort of. I just feel off kilter sometimes and this I suppose more what it looks like when I feel normal and the world feels normal but my view of things is off by a couple of degrees. Anyhow I drew this in charcoal a while back. I wish I had something exciting to talk about today but I don't so I am going to go.

3.10.07

A Perfect Spring Day

This is another image I took with my phone. Most of the time they may look good and clear on the tiny screen on my phone but they end up being all blurry. I think that about one third of the images I have taken with my phone have turned out clear. Oh Well. I believe that I took this one day when I was out hiking around in my backyard when I was living at the canyon. I miss the freedom that I had before I got into the trouble that I did. Anyhow today I went and put in an application for a job at a resort here in town and since today was the first day it was posted. I feel pretty good about getting the job. Not to mention the fact that my good friend works there and is going to try to get me hired. See you tomorrow.

2.10.07

Davin Up A Tree

Who would think that someone this cute could be such a stubborn disaster? I really love this child, but sometimes he drives me crazy. The other day I woke up and he was trying to paint in my room. The problem is that he had turned my travel H2Ocolor kit into a black soup. I would have been happy to help him paint but every time I have tried to do so he just puts the brush back in my hand. Then another morning I went to go get a pain reliever out of my first aid bag which I had under my sink in my bathroom and I couldn't find the bag. Well he had decided to play with it in his mom's room. He realized that he probably shouldn't be doing that and so covered it with a towel. I know he is young still, not yet four, but I wish he would listen to me better. Oh well, I love him regardless. I just wish that I could keep him from getting into things.

1.10.07

Seattle Trolley Lines

I think that Seattle is a fantastic place to be and I wish I was there quite regularly. I have some stuff going on here in Phoenix that I like but at the same time I really want to get out of this place. Anyhow I don't have a whole lot to say right now because I am watching Davin and MNF is about to start. I did some photoshop to this negative so that I could get it to look like a print I made of this neg.

30.9.07

Orpheum Theatre And City Hall

I really like the buildings that you can find in the downtown areas of most cities. Here though you kinda have to look really hard to find them. Here I like the play of new vs. old architecture. You see the new glass and steel building that is Phoenix City Hall in the background contrasted by the old low slung brick and mortar Orpheum Theatre in the foreground. I could go on a rant or a tangent but I am needed in my bed because I have to get up early and it is already late for me to be heading there. Click here if you want to see a birds eye view of where I was when I took this and the other image I have of the Orpheum.

29.9.07

Bright Angel Turkey

This turkey was really something to watch. I woke up in the morning after a beautiful night under the stars and while I was getting packed up and ready to head back up to the top I noticed this and another turkey going from campsite to campsite foraging for food. Well I thought I would take some pictures of them. I took this right before it decided that it didn't like me taking pictures of them. This thing had me penned back in a campsite against the rocks. Well I got around it and it followed me. So for about 50 yards down the trail I was trotting backwards being chased by turkeys. I got back to my camp jumped on the table and waited for it to decide that I was no longer interesting. After a few minutes they headed off down the trail. It was quite entertaining and a little scary to get chased by them. You see these things were quite large.

28.9.07

Spire In The Sky

Its late and its Justin's Birthday today. I feel awful because he turned 30 and instead of being able to spend his birthday with him I got to spend the evening home alone. I actually feel awful in another way though, I think that I have an infection in my mouth. I have pretty good hygiene but for the last couple of days my jaw has gotten more and more sore and tight. It actually is even hard to open my mouth wide enough to eat. So I have been using salt water and hydrogen peroxide to rinse my mouth with in hopes that I will be able to kill whatever is bugging my body. I only think it is an infection because my cheek has gotten all puffy to go along with being tight and sore. Anyhow I got a little more graphic then I intended to. I miss my brother and wish him the happiest of birthdays. After all he really sounds happier now then he has in at least 15 years. Why shouldn't he though he has a pretty cool life going right now. A girlfriend he loves who is going to give him his first child, a new motorcycle, a decent car, a job that he doesn't hate which pays him enough money to live on comfortably. I guess I am a little jealous of some of what he has going right now. But I am more happy for him being happy. He deserves it and has earned it. I Love You Justin, Happy Birthday.

27.9.07

Snow On Tree

I took this at about the same time as the image I posted yesterday. I miss the snow a lot. You know that this week summer has finally started to feel like it has broken. But with this whole global warming thing summer never really goes away anymore. Oh wait I live in a desert thats why its so damn hot for so bloody long. Regardless of whether global warming is real or imagined deserts are usually hot. Not to mention that I live in the city center and there is about 80-100 miles of pavement in any direction from where I am. There is a noticable heat island created by the city and it is really uncomfortable during the summer. Anyway I do think that global warming is real, however I also believe that it is a natural cycle that the earth goes through. And so long as we don't treat the earth as if we were a swarm of locust devouring a crop of grain, then we should be OK.

26.9.07

Snowy Bench

I thought since yesterday I spoke a little bit about death I would put something up today which adequately shows some beauty I have found in a cemetary. I took this in the cemetary in Grand Canyon National Park. I waited and waited and waited for it snow that winter and finally one morning I woke up and it was snowing. So I grabbed my camera and ran out the door to this spot to take this picture. I took several frames along the way and my gosh its really hard to get a good exposure on a snowy day.

25.9.07

Not My Headstone

So since I am never going to die this won't actually become what my headstone looks like in 200 years or so, but when I drew this I was kinda thinking about what my headstone might look like. Anyway I am curious about what actually takes place when our body stops functioning. I know what I was taught growing up and I believe stuff; but honestly none of us, absolutely no one here on earth knows what happens to our mind/spirit/soul/whatever when our bodies die. I choose to believe that we are more than just bodily functions. I don't really have a clear idea what it will be like, but I can say that I am sure it must be beautiful. All one has to do is look around to see beauty and magic. I don't mean outside I mean literally everything in front of your eyes is an example of beauty and magic. Remember folks that it wasn't more then a few generations ago that what we call science was thought of as magic. Everything is beautiful, even death. If it weren't for the coffins which we encase these shells we call our bodies in then they would return to the earth as the elements which they are composed of and provide sustenance to other creatures.

24.9.07

Bright Angel Rocks

This is something I took at the Bright Angel Campground in the Grand Canyon. On the morning that I took this I also got chased by a pair of turkeys it really was pretty cool. Anyhow this rock formation was right in the campsite that I slept in that night. If you can't tell by now I don't really like taking pictures of people but of things.

23.9.07

Orpheum Theatre

This image was taken of the SouthEast Corner of the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix. It was recently renovated but other then cleaning the exterior was largely if not wholly unchanged. This building is among the oldest in the city. You see Phoenix has this habit of tearing things down and rebuilding about every 10-15 years. In the words of Eddie Izzard "That building is over 50 years old, whoa no one was alive back then. Let's knock it to the earth and we'll build a car park there." I don't think I got the exact words but I am sure I almost got them.

22.9.07

Phoenix Municipal Court

I was on my way home from yet another meeting with my PreTrial Probation Officer when I took this photo. I don't like that I have to go pee in a cup still but I suppose I did earn it. Anyhow I really liked the shapes and forms in the area and so I walked up some stairs of a parking garage across the street from this building and took several photos which I will be posting here over the next little while.

21.9.07

Davin The Handful

Well you know how little kids can be when they get tired. I thought this would be a good picture today because my sister Heather is taking a police photography class and so tonight I was trying to show her how to use one of my cameras. Davin was still not in bed and as tired as he was getting he just plain didn't want to go to bed. He was so intent on taking a picture but he wouldn't let either of us help him. It really was quite priceless. We finally decided to put him to bed and at first he kept screaming that he wanted to be good so that we would let him stay up for a while longer. Then when he realized that wasn't going to work on us he was screaming how badly he wanted to take a picture. It was beautiful.

20.9.07

Red Square

So who says that phones take bad pictures? OK usually they do and to be honest this one has plenty of flaws, but hey what picture doesn't have flaws? Anyhow I was walking past this place one night and decided to take this. I like the structural elemtents present in the entry way here. Anyway i hope you enjoyed this little excursion.

19.9.07

Smith Tower

I really like this building. It is in downtown Seattle and when it was built it was the tallest building on the West Coast. I took this one day while working for my friend Hotte. He used to have a studio on Pioneer Square and this is just to the East of there. I miss that city so much.

18.9.07

My Thanks To Justin

I took this picture at Joshua Tree National Park. I was really just taking pictures there because some crazy drama went down and I needed to kill some time before a ride showed up to rescue me. Thank You, Justin. He is among the best people to know in the world. He might not like people very much but he sure is loyal to those whom he loves. I must say that Justin has done alot for me over the years, and I truly appreciate him for always being there.

17.9.07

Notes In The Sky

If I only knew how to read sheet music I am sure this would be the beginning of a beautiful melody. OK maybe that is a slight exaggeration. So when I took this I was wondering how safe it is that in order to gain the attention of passersby businesses put out strings of balloons. You might not be able to make it out exactly but these are wrapped around and intertwined with the power lines above them. Just wondering if anybody else notices the little things in life.

16.9.07

Take Another Look

This is one of my all-time favorite images. I have been asked several times how it was done and to me it was really quite simple, I used two negatives. What I find remarkable though is that on quite a few occasions the person I was showing it to failed to notice what they were looking at. It really shouldn't surprise me though, because people for the most part are blind to what is in front of their face. Which makes me think of a commercial I have seen that says 'People are smart.' However I beg to differ an individual is smart whereas people act like a herd animal. They just follow the people in front of them without heed to where they are going, just so long as they keep moving.

15.9.07

Solarized Brickwall

This is what Nebraska ran into today, a brick wall. Go SC! Fight On! I really like to see those boys have a game like they did today. They played extremely well and ran all day long. Not only that but it was what some would consider a perfect day, Notre Dame scored a big fat ZERO to Michigans 38 and UCLA only was able to put up a pair of field goals to an unranked Utahs 44. Regarding the photo though I was trying to figure out how to solarize photos when I did this one.

14.9.07

My Little Demon

Oops! I missed a day, I do apologize about that. This little guy is kinda sorta symbolic of the reason why I missed yesterday. I actually was inspired to draw him based on an enemy in Silent Hill. However my nephew was acting like a little demon yesterday and he totally wiped me out. Anyhow the last couple of days have been very long, and I am going to send an email to someone and hit the sack. I will be back tomorrow, after I exorcise a demon or two.

12.9.07

Waiting For The Bus

Quiz time: Who sang this "Standing on the corner waiting for the bus,"? I am sure that you know the name of them, but that is not important right now. I took this while waiting for the bus on one of the approximately 5 overcast days per year in Phoenix. I do wish that it would rain more often here in the city. Unfortunately the monsoon season seems to totally avoid the central city every year. Anyhow I am totally wiped so I am going to hit the sack. It was the Violent Femmes, I remember the line and think it was on 'Add It Up', I just don't remember the name of the song. But then I have always had a difficult time recalling song titles.

11.9.07

Forgotten Dead

So I guess 6 years ago today was the day which so many people tragically lost their lives. I don't really watch the news but I do remember that last year on this date a big deal was made about it. This year it seemed to me that it was almost forgotten. I might be mistaken about that but that is just what it felt like to me. So I thought in observance of the incident now known as 9/11 this photograph would be a good symbol for me.

10.9.07

Vacation Dreams

I need a vacation! OK so I haven't had this job for long enough to earn one from them, but I don't remember actually having a real vacation ever. I have been working for a whole lotta years and I want to take a trip. It would be great to go to some island off in the middle of the ocean. But I really want to go to Europe and spend a bunch of time over there.

9.9.07

Untitled #B

This is one of the first paintings I did. I like things bright it seems. I was just putting color down and then adding more and then more. I am still not sure which direction is the best way to hang this but for now I like the way it feels like this. You are once again welcome to offer any suggestions for a title.

8.9.07

Alice On The Shore

Her name is Alice. I don't draw very often but when I do I prefer to use charcoal. It gives a drawing much more depth and feeling in my opinion. Also I like the way I can manipulate the shading just by moving the charcoal around on the paper with my finger. I drew this about the time I was playing the game Silent Hill a whole bunch and I felt like drawing something which could have very easily been found in that game.

7.9.07

Cochineal (Dactylopius coccus)

This here is absolutely one of my all time favorite images. I was living across the street from some houses that had been condemned and one afternoon I saw this. What you see here is actually the top of an upside down cross. I found this next to an empty pool that some kids had been skating and biking in. I took several frames of the scene but this one point of view seemed to work the best. I printed this on a sheet of 11X14 FB paper and was playing around with toning at the time. So I rounded up a bunch of cochineal and made a rich magenta dye. I literally made a color out a bug. I still get a kick out of that.

Dead Wood

This is the last of three images that I felt worked well together. The first one is the ride at the state fair. I thought it fitting that on this headstone is the name Wood. I think I find that ironic because a tree isn't wood unless its dead. So I saw a juxtaposition there and that is one thing I look for when I shoot.

Danger

This is part of a series that I shot. I didn't plan on putting the images together but they fit and I liked them together. One of the commonalities between them is that I toned all of them with sepia and that I printed them on Oriental FB 11X14" paper. I took this standing on a RR bridge next to one of the very few streets in PHX that runs diagonally.

Shades Of Earth

This is acrylic on canvas and at the time I was in the mood to make earth tones. I think that I intended to paint some hills but it turned out looking more like a lava flow or something like that. I just put some paint out there and eventually got it to where I liked it. This piece is pretty small though at 6X12".

Untitled #A

This is acrylic paint on canvas. And all I was really doing was playing with color and a palette knife. At some point I decided that I had the right balance of colors and stopped adding paint. I know this isn't what I wanted to paint when I started but I really liked what I had when I finished. This piece is 11X14". If you have any ideas for a title I welcome the input.

ATM

I took my camera to the state fair one night a while back and at the time I was playing around with extended exposures. I believe this was a 15 second exposure. I have been told many times that this resembles an oil well and although they are correct to a degree I was just taking a picture of pretty moving lights at night.

Proud Baby

This cute little baby is one of my favorite images because it was a little cherub doll that I found somewhere which I ended up using in a series of images. So I was playing around one afternoon and I put a flashlight behind the head to try to make the eyes glow. I felt that it wasn't quite enough though so I saw this dead bug and it struck me as the perfect prop. Anyhow it looked to me almost like the baby was looking up and saying, 'Aren't you proud of me Mommy?'

Sad Pina Coloda

I was walking down the street one day and I looked down and noticed this sad Pina Colada. I say it was sad because these are all the mixings for a fresh Pina Colada and it had fallen from somebodies vehicle.
